Dr. Sheila Mazhari is proud to continue the legacy of exceptional care established by Dr. Fred Asuncion and honored to serve as the new owner of the practice, now known as Sugarloaf Dentistry. Inspired by the Frederick community, the new name reflects the values of strength, stability, and long-term, patient-centered care.

Dr. Mazhari earned her undergraduate degree in Neurophysiology from the University of Maryland, College Park, followed by a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University. After years of practicing in Virginia and Southern Maryland, she is excited to call Frederick home and build lasting relationships within the community.

With years of advanced training in Invisalign®, Botox and TMJ therapy, myofunctional therapy, airway-focused dentistry, and sleep-disordered breathing, Dr. Mazhari takes a whole-health approach to dentistry. As a Gold Plus Invisalign Provider, she offers personalized treatment plans designed to support both function and aesthetics.
